Huge portions. I would get the starter size, as the large size was overwhelming. This is decent pasta, and does the trick if you need a break from japanese food. It's nothing mind blowing, though. The bacon, actually, is quite delicious.
Really good pasta that's made to order but there's always a line.
Many delicious looking pasta options, and other dishes too, with many vegetarian options!I will come back to try the others.Filling, reasonably priced, and a tasty house wine topped off the experience.
A good Italian restaurant at one of Shinjuku exits not far from the metro building and tower. Pasta dishes can come in different sizes which is nice as you can adjust according to the level of hunger. There is no pizza in this restaurant.
Pasta here is delicious anyway.Of course there are more delicious restaurants here, but it feels like a pasta specialty store. There is a well-known store near Hashiya, so I always worry about where to go.There may be few people who ask, but the Bolognese here is insanely delicious. Baekkonping is recommended. The standard size is slightly smaller for men, so it is just right. The firmness of the noodles is “Ardente” as the name suggests. The cream is a little heavy seasoning, so a light seasoning may be good at first. And this shop's killer menu is “Green Salad” on the side menu. It is a mixture of green peas with olive oil, but it tastes good and seems to go well with alcohol.
Great aldente spaghetti, voted best by Alitalia flight crew! Good prices, great variety! By far the best pasta for the price in the area!
I used to go here when I lived in Tokyo a few years back, and since leaving Japan I've often found myself craving this place. As the name promises, the spaghetti is perfectly cooked - and don't just take my word for it - my very fussy Italian friend who almost never eats pasta outside of Italy recommended the place to me. Sauces very good too - I particularly like the tomato and mushroom sauce - with shimeji and shiitake. Always used to be popular with Alitalia staff during their layovers in Tokyo, another seal of approval from Italy. I believe the chefs have spent time in Italy learning their trade.I revisited in March 2013 and was delighted to find it hasn't changed a bit, and my favourite dish was still every bit as delicious as I remember it.
I got anchovy mushroom cream, but the sourness, moderate saltiness and the sweetness of pasta are exquisite! The shimeji and shiitake mushrooms that can be enjoyed with chewyness and umami were also the best flavors. The price is reasonable, but the repeater is a must-try dish.
Nice pasta, excellent bacon, but too heavy on the oil for me - a pool of it in both of our dishes.
Pasta shop famous for its authentic carbonara that uses almost no cream. However, the store name is Hiragana + Kanji!Ario Orio with thick bacon, the famous carbonara, and many others. Be careful when choosing the amount, as eating a bean salad will make you very hungry! It's quite lined up at lunchtime, so go early or, on the contrary, go late...
They have a kind of large portion for dishes like more than 20 clams on clam pasta and other ingredients as well. The taste is also okay and the price is not that expensive considering it is situated a little hectic place not hectic though as they are more close to off Shinjuku Odakyu is closer.
Delicious. The all Italia is amazing.
I've been going for over 30 years now ^ ^It's gone now, but I most often went to the Sony Building store in Ginza.I like Alitalia, El Vivendora, Lorenza, Carbonara and so on. All are delicious. Pasta at Ardentei is the best while drinking moretti!A taste that you will never get tired of eating for many years. There was alcohol disinfection at the entrance due to the influence of corona, and the counter seats were thinned out. There was a transparent vinyl at the cash register. It's always nice to have a line because it's a line!
busy for a Sunday, pleasant inside; smaller place, food was good, not exceptional. wait in line outside, order outside, inside, drink and salad already in place. very efficient. about $45 USD salad, pasta, beer for 2
We ordered an oil based pasta and a cream&mushroom pasta. The pasta is cooked perfectly and the sauce covers every single strand of pasta. Love Japan! They cook other cuisines but always seem to make it better!!
It wasn't as good as before
Favourite Spaghetti Place in Shinjuku..Even though it's a bit out of the way, people still queue here..
There are as many delicious pasta shops as there are stars in Tokyo. There are many other things on the net.But considering the price and the taste, years after yearsShinjuku Aruden is the best!As there was a thin sauce when the other certain shrines were made to a large size, only the Shinjuku store is the best. The other menu is delicious, but the anchovy cream with bacon, garlic, and mushroom topping is delicious at the dart!It is impossible to line up at 12 o'clock.I recommend 11 o'clock or 13 o'clock.
Pasta was Al dente as the name states, tried the Bucaniera and Alitalia and both tastes great! If in the vicinity, will come back. The Bucaniera had lots of seafood in it! Green peas salad was normal!
Good carbonara. Better than I can make it.
Everywhere is pasta, right?I thought Until you come here.Tomato type, oil type, cream type, Japanese styleThe pasta menu expands for each source. No matter what you eat, it's the best...This is not easy to copy. What's the difference? I'm interested.Even if you restrict sugar, you have to lift the ban when you come to Shinjuku.
Pasta here is pretty decent. Might have to wait a while though
The pasta here is very authentic with that particular Japanese sense to detail that makes this some of the best pasta in Tokyo at a very reasonable price!
Wow! This place is awesome. I had the seafood pasta and it was really good. I’ll make sure I’ll stop by again before I leave. Thank you!
The noodles are in Aldente as the shop name says ◎I ate 1080 yen including carbonara tax, but the cream was almost never used because it was made in Italy. The black pepper worked so well that I was appetizing. The price is a little high, but the quality of taste is quite high.It is a shop that makes you want to take your friends with you.
Used for a late lunch. It's delicious with its volume. A lively shop. A good place to go if you want to eat pasta.
Well well, I am that "fussy Italian friend" that almost never eats italian outside of Italy, and I have to say that Al Dente pasta was a very pleasant surpirse when I discovered it. Actually it was a Japanese friend who kind of "forced" me to go there, but all my preconceptions were totally wrong. Must go if you like pasta.
Sort of fast food Italian. Staff is friendly and efficient. We had spaghetti Bolognese which you can order in 3 sizes (normal, medium and large). Quality of the food is good not excellent. Sauce was a bit too salty. Credit card are accepted.
Excellent Italian food in a cozy spot in Shinjuku. Good prices and good pasta dishes.
The place is tiny and relatively cold, but their cuisine is amazing.
